Credentials? Are You #*!$%*#& Kidding Me?" It is a wonder I paint at all. Raised in a predominantly white
suburb and attending an all-white Catholic elementary school, it was predetermined that I was to be a college
graduate in accounting or some financially lucrative field. From the second-story bedroom window of my
childhood home, I could easily see the patterned white headstones of a sprawling cemetery. Remarkably - to
me anyway - they looked so very similar to the patterned white houses of the sprawling subdivision I was
being stored in until the time came for me to be released to the custody of the patterned, white-walled dorms
of college. Hell no, I did not attend colleges to acquire degrees in art. "I paint because I paint." It is no accident or fluke that these paintings were produced by me. Each painting represents a victory of
spirit and imagination over the mind numbing mediocrity so constant in the influences of my early life.
